Jay M. Fisher
Jay Fisher founded Jay M.
Fisher, P.A. in January 1996 with the goal of
providing excellent service and achieving the
best possible outcome for his clients through
dedication and commitment to those he represents.
Jay prides himself on his ability to place his
clients' interests above all others, including
his own. He has developed a reputation for serving
as an aggressive advocate for his clients while
maintaining a sense of integrity that is beyond
reproach.
Jay began his career practicing transactional
law and general civil litigation. His general
civil litigation practice involved primarily business
and commercial litigation, which lacked the human
element. Jay wanted to represent people, rather
than businesses, which felt impersonal to him.
Consequently, he sought a career that would allow
him to represent people, rather than companies.
In March of 1992, Jay joined Parrish, Bailey &
Morsch, P.A., a full-service plaintiffs' firm,
which permitted Jay to gain valuable experience
in handling a wide variety of personal injury
and wrongful death claims. Additionally, Jay commenced
a workers' compensation practice at the law firm
to complement the firm's other practice areas.
Jay has practiced exclusively in the areas of
personal injury, wrongful death and workers' compensation
since March of 1992.
Jay graduated from Duke University in 1990 with
a Juris Doctorate degree. He attended undergraduate
studies at Emory University from which he graduated
with a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Accounting. While attending law school at Duke,
he was elected to serve as Treasurer of the Duke
Bar Association, which was reflective of the trust
that his law school peers held in him.
Jay is currently a member
of the Florida Bar Association, the Orange County
Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association
(formerly known as the Academy of Florida Trial
Lawyers), and the American Association for Justice
(formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers
of America). Jay is also a member of the Trial
Lawyers Section and the Workers' Compensation
Section of the Florida Bar Association. Jay is
admitted to practice law in all state courts throughout
Florida, and the Federal District Court for the
Middle District of Florida.
Jay enjoys contributing to organizations such
as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the National
Brain Tumor Foundation, and the Congregation of
Reform Judaism. Jay has dedicated more than seven
years of volunteer service to the Congregation
of Reform Judaism, by serving as Chairperson of
the Budget and Finance Committee and as a member
of the Board of Directors.
Outside of the practice of law, Jay is an avid
sports fan and pursues his sports interests as
President of MJ
Sports Management, an athlete representation
firm specializing in the representation of NFL
athletes as an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor.
However, Jay finds the most joy spending time
with his wife, Wendy, and their two sons, Scott
and Jack. |
