Florida's no-fault auto insurance law, otherwise known as PIP, has been debated by legislature all summer. The law was set to expire October 1st, as lawmakers struggled to reform the no-fault policy. A special legistlative session was held on October 3rd to address the possible fall out if PIP was not put back into action. On Friday, Oct. 5th, the Florida Legislature approved reform legislation with anti-fraud provisions for PIP. The No-fault law will reimpose the requirement for Personal-Injury Protection insurance beginning January 1st, 2008.
